Evolution means progressive change.
There is no progress in life without change.
From the Vedic perspective, we need to embrace the following 5 elements if we wish to have optimal growth to higher states of consciousness.
STABILITY
means being unshakable and is a product of the mind having grounded itself in Being. Stability gives us the capacity to continue to grow our repertoire of capabilities and is an outcome of practising Vedic Meditation.
ADAPTABILITY
means having adaptive responses to demands or changes of expectations rather than stress or fight-flight responses. This is enhanced by the practice of Vedic Meditation.
INTEGRATION
means being able to integrate into our lives new, innovative and useful knowledge that enhances our repertoire of capabilities.
PURIFICATION
means being able to let go of rigid attachment to obsolete and irrelevant ways of behaving that are no longer helpful to us or serve the evolutionary process and are therefore holding us back.
WILLINGNESS TO GROW
means having a willingness to look at new ways of doing things and that means embracing change enthusiastically. To what extent am I willing to be a tool of evolution?
As Vedic Meditators, we need to check in on these 5 areas regularly to ensure that we are not retarding our progress in any way. By doing this we will make sure that we are living a sustainable lifestyle and therefore our survival will be a spontaneous by-product. According to the Vedic Worldview, survival is a product of the extent to which one progresses and evolves.
